Kairos San Quentin

Kairos depends on the "Agape" love and gifts of its volunteers and supporters to function in San Quentin State Prison. There are several ways that you can help our "Brothers in Blue".

Prayer: The on-going prayer support for the ministry is our greatest request. Prayers for the residents who are coming to the weekend or considering the weekend. Prayers for the safety of the team and the institution. During the weekend a prayer chart is created covering every hour of the weekend.

Green Agape/Sponsorship

It cost over $10,000 to put on a Kairos retreat weekend at San Quentin. The inside residents are unable to assist in the cost of the weekend. The burden of the cost for the weekend falls to the volunteer team. This burden stops some individuals from participating in the ministry.

A special option for many groups, churches, individuals or Sunday school class is to sponsor a resident for the weekend. The cost to sponsor a resident is $175. Donations may be sent to:

Team Membership

Would you like to join the team for an up-coming weekend at San Quentin? The team membership involves working the 3 day retreat and the returning to San Quentin every month. The monthly reunion currently meets on the third Friday evening each month.

 Posters

Every weekend we collect over 500 posters colored by children from area churches and Sunday schools.  These are a powerful part of the weekend as they are strung up around the chapel. Anyone is welcome to color or write a note on a poster. No glue, glitter, or addresses. Names and ages are ok. Mail the completed posters to the Advisory Council PO box.
